A Musa Oblectata: A Woman A Mused
Salve, et ad meum locum te amplexer. Sum Iuamie nomen. Meum creatum te legere invito.
No, that is not the Latin filler that comes with programs like Adobe; it is merely a show-offish example of my classically intellectual snobbery. But for those of you who did not choose to study an archaic and almost-completely useless language, I'll be happy to translate . . .
Greetings (literally, be well), and to my place let me welcome you. My name is Jamie. I invite you to read my creations.
In this place, I've collected all of my creative work which I consider presentable to the public (and some that I don't). Feel free to expose all my secrets by rifling through my papers; I don't mind. In fact, I invite you to linger. Perhaps, through looking at some of my more-twisted emotional outbursts, as well as my convoluted meanderings and quiet musings, you'll discover something about yourself. After all, isn't the whole point of creative activity to elucidate more clearly the world to its denizens?
Well, denizens, use my art however best pleases you. Use it for your own personal gain. Use it to break intellectual property laws. Use it against me. Art is inherently vulnerable, and so requires a kind of massochism--or at least exhibitionism--to function. But you can read more about that under Φιλοσοφíα. Poems is full of poetry, prose is full of prose, essays contains numerous essays I've written for various academic purposes; some are total crap, some are legitimately good (I think).
Itaque delibate. Meum creatum te delibare invito.
