| Wow, what a first set! Unfortunately most people's posters that they were handing out at the end of the show were trashed by the rain tonight here in SF, but it didn't put a damper on the night. A nice treat to see my first Peaches since 12/6/96! Good seeing you all there! - cloude |

| 11/09/04 - Fillmore Auditorium, San Francisco, CA Set 1: Buried Alive, Halley's Comet, The Sloth, Light Up or Leave Me Alone>Skin It Back, Peaches en Regalia, Fluffhead, Harpua, Suzy Greenberg>David Bowie. Set 2: 2001 > Boogie on Reggae Woman>Dog Stole Things>2001, Twist, Frankie Says, The Curtian With, Run Like an Antelope. Encore: Slave to the Traffic Light Encore 2: The Squirming Coil Buried Alive. What can I say? The first thing that popped into my head was Arafat...Unlike him though, this one was live. Short, sweet, and not a flub. Haley's came in like a storm and hung out until everyone was moist. I've never seen this song jammed like this one. Unreal. Next thing that you know, the Sloth came crawling in through the streak of Haley's tail. Trey was indeed the Sloth. Light Up or Leave Me Alone> Skin It Back. Do I even need to say any more? Ok. I will. It was gawd like. (If that's not a word, it should be) It was like watching a cave man hail a taxi. Sweet. Peaches. When was the last time? Who knows. It was worth the wait. The crowd was into it and were tossing glowsticks about. All of a sudden, Trey gets plonked with a frisbee right in the bean. He reaches down and picks it up and he reads it. He then turns it towards the crown and shows us what it says. Fluffhead. He then zings it back out into the crowd and starts up Fluffhead. Amazing. Crowd was freaking out. (They looked to be under 30) Nailed it. After Fluffhead, The crowd was chanting Harpua. Trey starts playing Harpua. It was an amazing thing and the vibe was thick....and getting dark. Suzy. How dark was this Suzy? Extremely..the jam anyway. It had me spinning like a top. Went right into Bowie. What a way to wrap up the first set. Bowie raged and had incredible jams. I had to change my diaper. 2001 started the 2nd Set and I knew that we were in for a ride...again. This thing raged like a 4 alarm fire and nobody had water. Segued smoothly into Boogie on like an old man returning a sandwich at a deli..oh wait..well, you get the point. Then boom pow into Dog Stole Things. Mellow, but to the point. When it went back into 2001, people flipped out. Twist came out of the dust and rose like a gladiator from Greek mythology. Large and overwhelming. Frankie Says. I like the tune and it was nice to hear. The Curtain With Started up, sending the crowd into another frenzy. They were all over it. And last but not least, Antelope. What an Antelope it was too. Full of energy and excitement. They came back and encored with Slave to the Traffic Light. I love this tune and it was played to perfection. After the encore, the crowd was so pumped and so loud, Phish came out and played a second encore...The Squirming Coil. Game, Set and Match, Phish. I had the time of my life. Thanks Phish! - Hoodski |
