| "All men by nature desire knowledge" -Aristotle Although, as Aristotle predicts, all men desire knowledge, not all men know the best ways to aquire this knowledge. It is our responsibility as educators to help guide students through their quest for this knowledge. As a potential educator, I embrace the challenges of this future I have chosen. Although I am excited about my chosen career, I have not always aspired to teach others. As a senior at Texas Christian University, I realized that education was my calling in life, however, it was too late to change my course of study. I continued my year at TCU, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English. The following semester I embarked upon my career in education at the University of Texas at Arlington where I began in the process of simultaneously earning my teaching certification and my master's degree. The few classes that I have already taken at UTA are helping me learn the extreme importance of our nation's teachers, and I am excited to one day include myself in this influential group of people. |
