| Each student will be assessed three times during this unit 1. Group Project and Presentation:This grade wil include a self-assessment from each group member listing how they contributed to the project, and what grade they believe they should receive. Projects will be graded on: The inclusion of research about the author The inclusion of research about the subject matt/type of work depicted in the poem The creativity/originality of the project How effectively the project depicts the poem - can the audience understand the overall meaning of the poem from the project? The presentation - are all group members involved in the presentation, and do they effectively present their project to the class? The self-assessment of each group member - were they actively involved in this project? 2. Group Poem: This grade will also include a self-assessment from each group member about their contribution to the group. Poems will be graded on: The interview questions and answers from the guest speaker The inclusion of information provided by the guest speaker The inclusion of additional research about the work of the guest speaker The creativity/originality of the poem Grammatical construction (spelling, agreement between subject and verb, appropriate tense use) The self-assessment of each group member - were they actively involved in the interview and construction of the poem? 3. Individual Poem: Poems will be graded on: The inclusion of information about the work of the student writing the poem The creativity/originality of each poem Grammatical construction (spelling, agreement between subject and verb, appropriate tense use) |
