| BASIC RULES: Joining: To join the RPG, e-mail me at [email protected]. Tell me who you want to be and what your e-mail address is, as well as what planet you want to start on (see below). You can be any character from DBZ (including movies) except the ones that are taken, and with the following restrictions. You can't be Master Roshi, Kami, Guru, King Kai or any other trainer. You can't be a character from Future Trunks' timeline other than Future Trunks himself. Different forms or ages of the same character (e.g. Super Buu vs. Kid Buu or little Goku from DB vs. Goku from DBZ, etc.) are not allowed, with the exception of Trunks and Future Trunks. You also can't be any fused character (Gotenks, Gogeta etc.) You start out on either Earth, Namek, Vegeta, Frieza, or Yardrat (your choice) with 500 PL, 100 HL, 50 EL, and 500 credits. PL (Power Level) is how strong you are, HL (Health Level) is how long can you stay in battle before being knocked out, and EL (Energy Level) is required to learn certain attacks. How it Works: It's really quite simple: if you want to do something (like buy items, battle other people, travel to other planets, work, or train) e-mail me telling me what you want to do. NOTE: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU EVER HAVE MORE THAN ONE CHARACTER IN THIS RPG! IF I DISCOVER THAT YOU ARE PLAYING AS MORE THAN ONE CHARACTER, I WILL DELETE ALL OF YOUR CHARACTERS IMMEDIATELY! If you are playing on the same computer as another member, make sure you let me know when you join. Another note: Due to a rather limited selection of characters, you must stay active in the RPG or risk being deleted. If at any point you have not sent me an e-mail related to the RPG for two weeks straight, you are considered inactive and your character may be deleted at any time. For those that have just joined (i.e. those that only sent me the "I want to join" e-mail), that period is reduced to ONE WEEK! So make sure you stay active, and if you are going on vacation or something, please let me know in advance so that I won't delete your character. FIGHTING: Starting Battles: You can only fight someone on the same planet as you. You have to have a Scouter or the Sense Power Level ability to start a fight, unless either 1) both you and your opponent are in the same spaceship, 2) the opponent has dragonballs (see Dragonballs section for details), or 3) the opponent agrees to fight (he must send me an e-mail about that, or you can forward his e-mail to you). If you have the Scouter, you can't start a fight with anyone with the Hide Power ability (subject to above exceptions). You can't start a fight with more than 3 people at a time (but certain "alliances," i.e. teammates declaring in advance they will join the fight if a person is attacked, or henchmen, can in some cases cause more than 3 people on each side to participate in the fight). Furthermore, you cannot, at the same time, start a fight with two people who at all times during the day are in different locations on the planet (i.e. if they don't train/work in the same place and never spar together). Stat Increases, Money, and Items Gained From Fighting: If you win, you get 8% of the loser's PL and 50 credits. However, you get no money if only you and/or your henchmen/teammates were in the battle. You can also steal one of the loser's items, but you can't steal spaceships, spaceship improvements, weighted clothing, henchmen, saibamen, or armor. If you lose, you get 4% of the winner's PL. Also, if you are knocked out, you have to eat a senzu bean or rest for a day, unless you have the Regeneration Tank, no matter if you or your team won or lost. If your opponent is 5x stronger than you, the PL gained from battle is halved for both characters. If the opponent is 20x stronger, neither fighter gains PL. Also, such a battle will not count toward your HL and EL increases (thus it won't appear in "Battles Fought" on your character page). This is to prevent people from getting extremely strong by fighting someone that can kill him in 1 hit. If any henchmen, saibamen, or teammates fought for you, their PL is added to yours to determine how much the opponent's PL goes up. After every third battle, your HL goes up by 4, and your EL by 2. Dying: To kill someone you must specifically tell me in the e-mail that you want to kill him. If you are killed, you go to the Next Dimension and you have to stay there for 2 weeks, then you can come back (you don't have to, and you only come back if you explicitly tell me so) to whatever planet you got killed on. If you got killed while traveling to a planet, you will come back to wherever you were traveling to. You can kill yourself to go to the Next Dimension. If you get killed in the Next Dimension, you go to H.F.I.L. and you have to stay there for 2 weeks. You can jump off Snake Way to go to H.F.I.L. without dying, but you still have to stay there for 2 weeks. The only thing you can do there is train and learn new moves. If you are killed in H.F.I.L. you have to start all over again. When you get out of H.F.I.L. you still have to stay in the Next Dimension for 2 weeks. The only time you don't have to stay in the Next Dimension or H.F.I.L. for 2 weeks is if you are wished back to life with the dragonballs (you can be wished back from the H.F.I.L. right back to the living world with 1 wish) or if you never died in the first place to get there (i.e. if you used Instant Transmission). Sparring: You can spar with anyone on your team if you want. Sparring is a type of fighting where nobody gets hurt (much). For each spar, you will get 2% of your opponent's PL. You do not get any money for sparring. Spars will NOT be posted on the Battles page. Neither will they be counted as a battle for the HL and EL increase. Other than that, spars are just like battles (i.e. they only happen once a day, and the three people a side limit applies). If you spar with someone 5x stronger than yourself, both of you get only half the PL increase. If you spar with someone 20x stronger than yourself, both of you will not gain any PL. Also, if a character knows Triform, he could spar with himself to get 2% of his own PL. VARIOUS OTHER RULES: Training: If you don't want to train in a training room, or if there is no training room (like on Namek), you can train alone in the wilderness. This training only increases your PL by 2% a day. If you have a ship with a gravitron installed, and you buy a new ship, you can't move the old gravitron to the new ship, you have to buy a new one (you can still move the workout bench though). Dragonballs: There are 2 sets of dragonballs, the Earth dragonballs and the Namek dragonballs. The Earth dragonballs grant you one wish, then are scattered all around the planet. You can't use them again or locate them for one month. The Namek dragonballs grant you three wishes, but wishes must be said in the Namekian Language. Then they are scattered around the planet like the Earth dragonballs. You can't look for dragonballs while you train or work, but you can send your henchmen or saibamen to look for them. You can't wish for: immortality, characters killed, planets/locations destroyed, more wishes, or dragonballs. You also can't wish for the same stat increase more than once (applies to the Namek dragonballs only). I might not approve some other wishes, just e-mail me and I will tell you if the wish can be done. Also, you have to use the dragonballs on the planet where they are from (not orbiting it or near it, on it). What you can wish for with the dragonballs: - Up to 2x PL increase, 20% HL increase, or 20% EL increase - Up to 2000 credits or anything worth 2000 credits or less. - Instant teleportation anywhere (including the Next Dimension). Other characters can also be teleported against their will. - Any 2 moves learned instantly (you still have to have the necessary EL to use them, but you can wish for a move that you cannot learn because of EL, you just won't be able to use it until you have enough EL). - Any other wish that I approve (send me several possible wishes if you think I might not approve one). It is possible to use the Dragonball Radar or Scouter to start a battle if your opponent has dragonballs in his possession, regardless of whether or not the opponent knows Hide Power. However, if there is anyone else on the same planet with dragonballs in his possession, there is a chance you'll fight him instead if you use this method of locating your opponent. By default, I will assume you choose not to use this method unless there's no other way you can start a battle with the opponent and you still wish to battle. Orbiting planets: You can just fly around a planet in a spaceship so no one can fight you except others on the spaceship. However, if, say, a character has all 7 dragonballs, and he is flying in a spaceship so no one can get the dragonballs from him, someone on the planet that he is orbiting can just wait for him to come down and then fight him before he has a chance to use the dragonballs. He (the one who wants to wait) has to e-mail me if he wants to do that before the other guy comes down. You can only remain in space for a maximum of 15 days. Kaioken: These are the different levels of the Kaioken Attack: (if you have less EL than you need for a certain level, you will blow yourself up) Kaioken: PL raised by 50%, EL required is 60. Kaioken x2: PL raised x2, EL 65. Kaioken x3: PL raised by 150%, EL 70. Kaioken x4: PL raised x3, EL 75. Kaioken x5: PL raised by 250%, EL 80. Kaioken x6: PL raised x4, EL 85. The max level you could use is x6 (because if you could use x20 like Goku did in the show, your EL would have to be 155, plus it would be unrealistic and unbalancing if your PL could go up x10 or even x5). You don't have to learn each new level. Henchmen: Henchmen and saibamen are special characters. Once you buy a henchman or saibaman, he becomes another character for you to control. Henchmen and saibamen can train, fight, hold items, or look for dragonballs just like any character. You can only have up to 5 henchmen and saibamen combined. Both henchmen and saibamen start with 250 PL and 100 HL. Henchmen also start with 45 EL. Some rules and limitations that apply to henchmen or saibamen: - Cannot work until their PL reaches 500, and even then work for a reduced rate (see Planets page for exact numbers). - Saibamen cannot learn moves, except that they automatically learn Ki Shot when they reach PL 1000, and Selfdestruct when they reach PL 10,000. - Henchmen cannot learn any move (except Namek Language) until they reach EL 50, although you can buy blasters which allow them to fire Ki Shot-equivalent blasts at lower ELs. They learn Ki Shot automatically when they reach 50 EL, afterwards they learn moves like any other character. - Saibamen do not count toward the numer of people traveling in a spaceship. For example, you can travel in a Saiyan Spaceship with 5 saibamen at the same time. - Henchmen and saibamen cannot go to the Next Dimension or the H.F.I.L., except if they are wished there by dragonballs, or if someone uses Instant Transmission to get them there. If they are killed in battle, they simply disappear from the game. - If only you and your henchmen, saibamen, or teammates were in a battle, winners do not get any money. - Henchmen and saibamen can only train in the Room of Spirit and Time once ever, and can never get Guru's powerup. Regeneration Tank: This spaceship improvement allows one to recover from battle faster than normal. The PL increase for the day after the battle is halved, and the user is able to spar or fight on the day after the battle. Move learning times remain the same, as well. This improvement cannot be moved between spaceships, and, as spaceships never go to the Next Dimension, you cannot use it if you are in the Next Dimension or the H.F.I.L. |
