Washing Instructions

Acetate

Luxurious feel, drapes well, wrinkles easily, doesn't pill, shrink resistant, low absorbency, may lose shape when wet.

Avoid hot water and soaking for long periods.
Avoid wringing or twisting.
Wash in the gentle cycle in cool/warm water.
Do not machine dry.

Acrylic

Lightweight, quick drying, shrink and wrinkle resistant, excellent pleat retention, outstanding wick ability.

Wash in the gentle cycle in cool or warm water. Machine dry on low. Turn garment inside out during washing to avoid pilling.

Cotton

Comfortable, cool, drapes well, absorbent, prone to wrinkling if untreated, strong.

Wash in the gentle cycle in cold, warm or hot water, depending upon care label instructions. Avoid dry cleaning. Shrinkage may occur at high temperatures.

Linen

Strong, tailors well, absorbent, wrinkles easily if not treated, not prone to static or pilling.

Wash in the gentle cycle in cold or warm water. Wrinkle-resistant linens may shrink in hot water.

Lyocell

Absorbent, soft, durable, shrink and wrinkle- resistant, drapes well.

Wash in cool water on the gentle cycle.

Micro fibers

Can be acrylic, nylon, polyester, or rayon; are very fine fibers; soft, washable, shrink resistant, extremely drape able; insulate well against wind and rain because they can be tightly woven.

Wash in cool water in gentle cycle. Refer to care label.

Nylon

One of the strongest of all fibers, fast drying, low moisture absorbency, poor resistance to prolonged sun exposure.

Launder separately from other garments.

Polyester

Resistant to stretching, shrinkage, and wrinkling, low absorbency, dries quickly.

Do not wash polyester with any grease-stained garments. Machine dry on low heat.

Polyolefin

Static and odor resistant, fast drying, non-allergenic.

Wash using cool/warm water and gentle detergent. Do not iron. Tumble dry on gentle heat, or line dry. Tend to oily stains promptly.

Rayon

Highly absorbent, cool, drapes well, washable, may shrink or stretch when wet.

Wash in cool water in gentle cycle. Roll in towel to blot. Do not wring or twist.

Silk

Thin fibers, drapes and tailors well, luxurious, not prone to pilling problems, poor resistance to sunlight.

Wash in cold water in gentle cycle if colorfast, unconstructed, and unlined.
Roll in towel to blot dry. Do not use chlorine bleach or enzymes.

Spandex

Strong, stretchable and lightweight; recovers well from repeated stretching. Soft and smooth, static and pill resistant.

Wash in cool water in gentle cycle. Do not use chlorine bleach.

Wool

Wrinkle resistant, washable, absorbent, good insulator, built-in climate control.

Wash inside out, dry away from heat and sunlight. Do not use chlorine bleach. Carefully follow label instructions. Warm or cold water with minimum agitation is preferred.
