Louis LeBlanc was born on August 21, 1850 in Wedgeport (called Bas-de-Tousquet by Arcadians), Nova Scotia. He was the son of Frederic LeBlanc and Anne Marguerite d'Entremont, and the grandson of Joseph and Marie LeBlanc (Pothier) and Benoni and Anne d'Entremont (Pothier).
Louis had seven siblings: Georges (1846-?), Francois Leger (1847-1925), Frederic (1852-1916), Melanie (1855-1952), Jacques (1857-1911), Anne Madelaine (1861-1946), and Marguerite (1864-?).
Louis married Adelia Wanders in Boston on September 6, 1886. Louis was 36 (although it says 30 on the marriage certificate) and Adelia was 27 (although it says 25) at the time of their marriage.
Louis was a skilled carpenter and builder. He built houses in Nova Scotia and Boston. He emigrated to Boston at an unknown date.
Louis returned to Nova Scotia probably in the 1890's and died soon after of galloping pneumonia.
