~ Chapter Twenty-Six ~
Jeff had just gotten out of the shower and walked to Ryanns bedroom when he overheard her talking to her mother. He stood outside the door and overheard most of what had been said. He waited until Elisabeth left before entering the room. Ryann looked up at him when he shut the door.
The shower is free for you now.
   Thanks sweetie.
Ryann picked up her clothes, walked by Jeff and gave him a quick kiss, and headed to the shower. Jeff picked up the mess she had just made, and got their suitcases ready for the trip. He picked up his cellular phone and called the Fleet Center. He arranged for Ryanns family to have ringside seats to RAW on Monday. He had wanted to do something nice for them, and since her parents hadnt seen he and Ryann perform live; he thought they might enjoy it. After he made the arrangements, he walked down the hall to the bathroom and knocked on the door.
Ryanncan I come in?
Sure. Ryann replied. She peeked around the curtain as Jeff opened the door. Whats up?
I just got off the phone with the box office at the Fleet Center. I got ringside seats for your family for tomorrow night, if theyre interested.
Go downstairs and tell them, Jessica will be thrilled!
I wanted to wait for you to go down and tell them.
Jeff, just go tell them, it will be better if it comes from you.
   Ok.

Jeff walked downstairs and everybody was sitting around the table, eating breakfast.
Sit down Jeff, have some breakfast. Doug told him.
Jeff sat down next to Jessica, and Elisabeth handed him a plate.
Thank you. Jeff said, and picked up a fork and stared to eat.
So, are you and Ryann driving to Boston tomorrow? Jessica asked.
Actually, we are leaving today. Weve got to pick up my brother, his girlfriend, and our friend Amy at the airport this afternoon.
Are you bringing them here? Jess inquired, giving Jeff her undivided attention.
No, we already have rooms reserved in Boston. But, I did call the Fleet Center and get all of you ringside seats tomorrow night.
Jeff, Doug said. You didnt have to do that.
I wanted to. Youve all been so nice and have made me feel welcome; I wanted to do something for all of you. Ryann told me that that none of you have seen her at a live show, with the exception of John and Carey, of course. But I figured since we were in the area, you all could drive down and watch the show. That is if you wanted to.
If we wanted to? Jessica asked. Thats a stupid question, of course we want to.
Thank you so much Jeff, that is real nice of you to do for Ryann. Doug said.
I know how much she would love to have her family there. Jeff responded.
This is going to be awesome! Jessica said. Last time I went to see WWE was when Ryann took me. I think I was two years ago, in Manchester, New Hampshire. Man, we spent three hours outside in the blistering sun waiting for you, Matt, and Lita to show up. The finally someone told us that you had arrived ten minutes before we started standing there. We were so mad!
Thats too bad Jeff said, but was cut off by Ryann who had just walked into the kitchen.
At least we dont have to wait anymore, right Jess?
Yeah, I guess not! Jess replied.

Ryann sat down at the table and ate breakfast with Jeff and her family. Then she helped here mother and Carey clean up the kitchen. Jess was all wrapped up in talking to Jeff. After the kitchen was clean, Jeff and Ryann went upstairs and brought their bags back down. They put everything in the car, and Ryann said, Ill reserve some rooms for everyone at our hotel, so you can stay the night in Boston tomorrow night.
Dont worry honey, her father said, Ill take care of that. But have a safe drive down, and well see you tomorrow.
Ryanns father gave her a hug, along with the rest of the family. Jeff and Ryann got into the Corvette, and backed out of the driveway. It was eleven-thirty, and they were on their way to Boston. Ryann gave Jeff directions out of town and toward their destination. Once they were on the open road, they started talking.
Jeff, I am really sorry about the way I acted the past two days.
Dont be sorry Ry; I believe you were justified in your actions.
I know, but Ive just been feeling kind of bitchy and irritable lately, so if Ive pissed you off at all, Im sorry.
   Are you ok?
Yes, Im fine. I have just been in such a good mood for a long time, and then I go home and get the same old shit Ive always gotten there. Im glad I dont live there anymore.
You told me yourself you miss it.
I know, and I do, but I dont miss all the shit.
Ry, thanks for defending me to your mother.
What do you mean?
I overheard the conversation you had with her this morning; I had just gotten out of the shower.
I wasnt defending you Jeff, I was just stating the facts. If my family cant accept you, then they dont accept me. I am not going to stop loving you because they dont accept it. Besides, everyone likes you; it was my mom being a jerk. But youll get used to that, shes a jerk to everybody.
Well, I dont want to cause problems. Jeff said.
There are no problems. The only person you would have to worry about getting approval from is my brother, and youve already got that. I dont want to lose you Jeff, and Ill never let you go without a knock down drag out fight. You can count on that.
I dont want to lose you either, but I also dont want to come between you and your family.
You arent, and dont ever think that you have. You are the most important thing in my life right now. So what if my mother doesnt approve because youve got rainbow hair. Thats what I love about you.
You love me because I have rainbow hair? Jeff asked jokingly.
I love you because you are comfortable with yourself, and you dont care what other people think. And besides, youre really sexy too. Ryann said, and she smiled at Jeff.
Well, I love you too darling, just for being you.
