~ Chapter Sixteen ~
They arrived back in Cameron about three oclock in the afternoon. When they got to Jeffs house, his father, Gilbert, was there to greet them.
Welcome home boys.
   Hey dad. Matt said.
Hi Gilbert. Amy said.
I saw the show last night. And I recognize you as Ryann. Gilbert said.
Its very nice to meet you Mr. Hardy. I am Ryann. She walked over to him and shook his hand. Jeff walked up behind Ryann and put his arm around her. Dad, Ryann is my girlfriend.
I saw that on Raw last night, Jeff. Gilbert said to his youngest son.
No dad, shes not only my girlfriend on the show. Ryann and I are dating for real.
I understand Jeff. I figured as much. So how was your flight? he asked.
Good, Matt replied. I am glad to be home though.
Matt went into Jeffs house, and Amy said, Well, I am going to get home and get some rest. Jeff, Ill give you guys a call tomorrow.
Ok Amy, Jeff said. Later.

Amy grabbed her bag and threw it in her car and left. Jeff grabbed his and Ryanns bag and brought them into the house. Gilbert and Ryann followed, and sat down in the living room and visited. Jeff came in and sat next to Ryann. Gilbert wanted to know so much about her. Where she was from, her age, how she got involved with WWE, and where she had met his son.  Ryann gladly answered all of Gilberts questions, and added some information as well. Matt soon joined them, and they talked for an hour or so. Then, Matt decided he wanted to head home for some rest, so he and Gilbert left, leaving Jeff and Ryann alone. Ryann leaned into her boyfriend, and let out a big sigh.
What? Jeff asked, as he ran his fingers through Ryanns hair.
I dont think I could be a happier person right now. My storyline on Raw is with you, Matt, and Amy, which is really awesome. You are my boyfriend, officially, and not in my dream world anymore. Ryann giggled. And I am here with you now. What more could I ask for?
Did you really used to dream about me? Jeff asked.
All the time Jeff.  You just wait, someday Ill bring you home to Vermont and you can check out my bedroom. Its Hardy Boyz homemade wallpaper. I dont think there is an inch of my bedroom wall that does not have a picture, poster, or some sort of paraphernalia of the Hardy Boyz.
Jeff replied, Really? as he remembered that her brother had told him the same thing.
   Yes, really.
Jeff pulled Ryann into his arms and he kissed her. Then he pulled away from her and said, Lets do something.
What do you want to do Jeff?
I dont know, something adventurous. We havent done anything to together as a couple yet, and I think we should do something.
Well, what is there to do in Cameron?
Before Jeff could answer her, the phone rang, so Jeff got up to answer it. Hello?
Hi. Said the mans voice on the other end. Is Ryann there?
Who wants to know? Jeff inquired as he looked at the caller id.
Its Chris, her boyfriend.
Ryanns EX-boyfriend Chris. Hey, this is Jeff. I dont know if shes here. Hold on.
Jeff muted the telephone, and turned to Ryann. I do not want to talk to him. Ryann said sternly. Jeff put the phone back to his ear and said, Uh, shes here, but she doesnt want to talk to you. In fact, since only Ryann and I live here, nobody that lives here wants to talk to you. So wed appreciate it if you didnt call us back. Thanks. And hung up the phone. He walked over to the couch, took Ryanns hands, and helped her stand up. Come on, Jeff said. He took Ryanns hand in his and they were headed out the back door when the phone rang again. Jeff looked at the caller id again, and saw it was the same number. He continued to lead Ryann out the back door and said, Remind me to have that number changed again.
Im sorry Jeff. He must have gotten the number from my parents; they are the only people I gave it to.
Thats fine Ryann. So let me take you for a ride on my four-wheeler. Jeff said.
Sure. Ryann said.

Jeff got out his four-wheeler and gave Ryann a helmet, and put one on his head. Jeff got on the machine, and then Ryann got on behind him. Jeff started the wheeler, and Ryann wrapped her arms around his waist. Jeff hit the gas and off they went into the field behind Jeffs house. They rode for a while until they reached a pond. Jeff stopped the four-wheeler and the two of them got off. Jeff took Ryann by the hand and walked out on the small dock that stretched out into the water. They both sat down at the end, with their feet dangling over the end. Sometimes, I come here to just get away from everybody. To step back and take a deep breath of home. Jeff said.
Its so quiet out here, I almost feel like am home in Vermont.
What is your hometown like?
Its so small, and I guess I would call it cozy. Ya know, I never thought of it that way until now. Ryann said.
Why is that?

I spent my entire life just waiting for the opportunity to get out, and now that I have, I sort of miss it.
I know what you mean. I love wrestling, its my dream come true. But being on the road all the time, it will get to you at points. I have to come home once a week, and when I do, I come out here, and just take it all in.
   Jeff Ryann said softly.
Yeah.
I am so glad that were together.
I am too Ryann.
So, I thought we were going to do something adventurous. Ryann asked.
I wanted to, but now Im kinda beat, jet lag and all. Wanna head home?
   Sure Jeff.
Ryann and Jeff got back on the four-wheeler, and Jeff let her drive back to the house.
