| Matt and Amy booked the last two rooms at the Sheraton in Ventura, California, and then headed back to the airport in the car they had rented when they arrived. The two of them were in the baggage claim, waiting for Jeff and Ryann to arrive. It was quarter of six Pacific Time when their flight landed. Ryann and Jeff got off the plane and headed for the baggage claim. Since they both had only one bag each, they didn�t have to wait for luggage. They met up with Matt and Amy, and they left. They took the Pacific Coast Highway for the one-hour drive back to Ventura. When they arrived at the hotel, Amy said, �They only had two rooms at the hotel, so how do you want to room, girls and guys, or what?� Jeff replied with, �It doesn�t matter to me, that�s fine.� �Sure, I�ll room with you Amy.� Ryann stated. �Then that is settled.� Matt said. Amy handed Jeff the card to his room and said, �You guys are in room 416, and Ryann and I are in room 353.� �So do you just want to relax in the rooms for tonight?� Matt asked. �Well, I�d like to go visit my brother.� Ryann said. �Where does he live?� Amy asked. �Here in Ventura.� Ryann replied. �I haven�t seen him in awhile. He�ll be so surprised to see me.� �Well, I�m just gonna chill here, but go ahead and take the car if you want Ryann.� Matt said. �Yeah, I�m kind of tired.� Amy said. �I�m just going to stay here.� �What about you Jeff? You staying too?� Ryann asked. �No, I�ll go with you.� He said. Matt tossed the keys to Ryann. �Here ya go. Have fun guys.� �Later.� Ryann said. Jeff and Ryann got into the car and headed across town to her brother�s house. Ryann was driving, and was making a lot of turns. Jeff wasn�t sure whether or not she actually knew where she was going. �Have you been out here before?� he asked. �Yes. Tough Enough was in LA, and I have visited my brother before. I�m just taking the back roads so we don�t hit so much traffic.� �Ok, you�re the driver.� Jeff said. A few minutes later they pulled into the driveway of Ryann�s brother�s house. Jeff followed Ryann to the door and she knocked. Her brother said, �Come in.� Ryann opened the door and Jeff followed her inside. �Hey John!� Ryann said as she gave her brother a hug. �What are you doing out here Ry?� John asked. �I told you that I won a contract with WWE, right?� �Yes, you did.� �Well, tomorrow night is my first night on Raw, in LA. Our room is at the Sheraton, over by the marina. So I just figured I�d come over and say hello since I was in town. So where�s Carey?� �She took the girls to the school to run. So who is your friend?� John asked. �Oh, I�m sorry. John, this is Jeff. Jeff, this is my brother, John.� �Nice to meet you, John.� Jeff said as they shook hands. �Don�t I know you from somewhere?� John asked. �John,� Ryann said. �This is Jeff Hardy, of the Hardy Boyz.� �Oh, so this is the infamous Jeff Hardy. Nice to meet you too. So if you don�t mind my asking Ryann, where is Chris?� �We broke up.� �So is this your new boyfriend?� John asked. �No John, Jeff and I are friends. He has been kind enough to let me stay at his house until I can find an apartment in North Carolina. That�s where I am training.� Just then, John�s wife, Carey came home with their dogs. �Hey Ryann! What are you doing here? And who�s your friend?� Ryann explained again to her sister-n-law who Jeff was and why they were in town. Carey took Ryann outside to show her some new things they had in the backyard, and left the guys in the house. John, being the big brother that he was, said, �Jeff, so what is up with you and my little sister?� �Nothing John, we are just friends.� �She hasn�t told you about her big crush?� �No, who does she have a big crush on?� �You. Why do you think she tried out for Tough Enough? She wanted to get the chance to meet you.� �You can't be serious.� �Well, I�m sure that isn�t the only reason, but man, you should see her room back home. I don�t think there is one inch of her bedroom wall that doesn�t have a picture of Jeff Hardy, or the Hardy Boyz.� �Would you have a problem with me dating your sister?� �No, but if you hurt her, I�ll kill you.� �I wouldn�t want to hurt her, I really like her. She brings the best out in me.� �She has that effect on people. She�s too good natured.� �So you think she really likes me?� �I probably shouldn�t say anymore. She�d kill me if she knew I told you what I have. Just be good to her, she deserves that much.� John told Jeff. �Well, thanks for your approval John. I know that would mean a lot to Ryann. I do like her, but I wasn�t sure if she liked me as more than a friend.� �Well, I didn�t say anything�� John said, insinuating that Jeff keep quiet about their conversation. The girls came back inside, and they all sat down in the living room. They visited for a few hours, until Ryann and Jeff decided that they needed to get back to the hotel and get some rest. As they were leaving, Jeff offered to get tickets for Ryann�s brother and sister-n-law for Raw the following night. John and Carey accepted the invitation. Jeff told them he would arrange for the tickets to be at the box office. They said goodbye, and Jeff and Ryann drove off, headed for the hotel. |
