History of the site:
Built in the early 1800's as an old Stage Coach Inn, this site is 11.5 acres
1826 it was purchased by Genesee County
1827 it opened it's doors to the poor
1875 became a "Alms House"
1890 records showed there were 3 buildings on the site and that it served as the county farm into the early 1900's for residents who were ableto raise all of their food and supplies on the premises.
1938 a main brick building was built on the site and the dormitory addition that parellels Raymond Road was opened in 1960
1974 the home was vacated. The older wooden structures were demolished as they were fire hazards
1992 Joseph and Rosemary Bodekor purchased the site and converted it to an old time craft and farm market and was named Heritage Villiage
2003 the name was changed to Rolling Hills Country Mall
2004 January it became a Co-op
2004 September 17 this historic site opened to ghost hunters and paranormal enthousists

This building has a long tormented history as a former poor house, asylm for the insane, orphanage, TB Ward, and a nursing home
