| Taras interest in the paranormal started simply - with "Casper the Friendly Ghost" and paranormal novels as a child. Then it was watching Unsolved Mysteries with her mother and hearing her mothers experiences of visits from deceased relatives and friends. She was never told "There are no such things as ghosts"
At age 10 Tara made a pendulum, which she still has today, that her friends would ask questions and to their amazement have the correct answer be given. Tara continued to enjoy supernatural shows, movies and books but with no real aim until she met Jeff Ostrander and Violet Aston through The Haunted Barrie Meet up Group. She was so happy to have found this wonderful Group of people to learn from that were actually doing investigations and educating members. On her first investigation they captured an EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) that was in response to her question... needless to say she was hooked and had to learn more!! Tara brings her natural curiosity and enthusiasm for the paranormal to this Group. Being part of Jeffs Paranormal combines the investigational skills she is constantly learning with her love for helping people. Tara has been married to husband Craig for almost 10 yrs and has lived in Barrie, ON for the past 14 yrs. They have 2 sweet home birthed daughters, Maggie and Charlotte. She has been involved in the Natural Health field for 14 yrs - working in 2 of Barries Health Food Stores, a Certified Reflexologist, has Therapeutic Touch 1&2 and Reiki Level 1 ( hoping to do Level 2 soon). After having volunteered for 3 1/2 yrs, she was accreditated in 2004 as a La Leche League Canada Leader. She runs the LLLC Alliston group with her friend and co-leader, Jennifer, holding Monthly Series Meetings and doing breastfeeding support calls for pregnant and breastfeeding Moms in Alliston/Barrie area. Tara is also a SAHM (stay at home Mom) who likes to camp in Algonquin Park, shop for bargins, read, make crafts, go for walks and spend time laughing with family & friends as often as she can. |
