The battery is mounted and strapped to anchors, which are screwed to the battery box. Yes, the battery does fit after all - with just under 1" of clearance. Whew!!! |

The new steering wheel. I wanted something that contradicted all common knowledge, so I decided on a 3" diameter metal disk. There are vice grips clamped to the bottom just in case more leverage is needed. |

CLEAN!!!!! All motor connections are given a cleaner appearance by placing them together in piping insulation held on with cable ties. |

You didn't really think I was serious about the steering wheel, did you? Here it is - being painted. The wheel itself, made of a rubber material, is wrapped in newspapers to prevent any paint from sticking to it. The mounting is jet black, as original. |
