210 Hours - Fabuglas Bahama Restoration
This is a close-up view of the stern, with the stringers and gutters 'glassed in.  In fact, the first 50" of the boat is covered in fiberglass.  (Or is that the last 50"???)  The area that appears bright is the sanded part of the hull, as shown on previous pages.
The bolt holes for the transom drainage and engine mounts are now covered by the transom.  I can assure you that I have never drilled through fiberglass before...it sould be interesting. This is not a mess.  It is organized heap of disorder.  (Did that make any sense at all???  That's okay, it wasn't really supposed to.  I just needed a caption.)
The folding hardware for the seats is ready to be installed.  Each "hinge" assembly has been scraped clean with a wire brush.  Each set took about 20 minutes of intense brushing to make them shine.  I know they will never be seen, but it means a lot to me that everything is clean and shines in the sunlight. Here is one set of seats, assembled.  The hinges all fit a bit tight, causing the minor gap between the backs.  This gap should cease once the seats are placed on the seat bases as the hinge assemblies should hold them together.
