If you are interested in coming over to South Africa and helping Dr Dave Hartley and his team with with penguins and marine animals, you are most welcome.

However you have to be able to afford your own ticket (flight), your accommodation and food. We will help you find suitable accommodation. Highly recommended is Beachfront Backpackers which is centrally located in town. Accommodation there costs R40 (Forty Rand) per night in their dorms. Alternatively there is all sorts of other accommodation available in town too.

Jeffreys Bay is located on the Sunshine Coast and the closest city is Port Elizabeth, which is where we would fetch you from the airport when you arrive. Even though the wind can blow quite a lot in this area,  the climate is moderate and we have mild winters. There are endless golden beaches with an abundance of seashells and the water is safe for bathing. It is a fisherman's paradise. Surfers come here from all over the world to enjoy the well known break called Supertubes.
