The story of the Lake Stinkfish Gated Community is an exciting and interesting one. Lake Stinkfish was originally known as Lake Shelley. The lake was left to Josh Wren in the will of his Great Aunt Hortence in 1998. Wren was later disowned by his family for dancing a jig at the funeral upon learning of the news. |

Upon Wren's first (and last) fishing trip on the lake, he found that the fish stank. He soon learned that was because extensive toxic dumping had taken place on the lake. A plan formed in his head. He leased the land to a housing company who built an expensive gated community on the lakeside. |

Upon learning of Wren's deciet, the developers attempted to clean the lake of pollutants before the general populace learned of the pollution, but this plan was doomed to failure as they would soon learn... |

| Wren went to City Hall and had the name of the lake changed to "Stinkfish Lake". He then took one of the fish to the local news. The developers abandoned the project, leaving the completed houses to Wren for FREE! He then made Lake Stinkfish the cheapest gated community in the greater Washington area. |

| While Wren has admitted that "The fish DO stink" (As mandated in "The State vs. Joshua Wren Trial #47284562), he still claims it is "not as bad as you think". The Fish & Wildlife Service has begun a study on the lake to determine if it stinks as bad as they think. Until the E.P.A. says otherwise, Lake Stinkfish shall remain the best and cheapest place to live, swim and fish in Washington! And remember, "The fish don't stink as bad as ya think"! |
