Bill & Ted Page

In 1989 a film was released that changed the face of motion pictures as we know them. A film that broke all the rules, and took the world by storm. "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" is the story of two teenagers who are destined to change the course of history through their music, but find their band threatened as Ted's father threatens to ship him to Military School if he doesn't pass his history final (which must be read in front of the whole school for some reason). Naturally, the heads of earth's government in the future send a representateive to give Bill and Ted a time machine so they may experience history first hand. Makes perfect sense...

Incomprehensible plot aside, the film is a hilarious comedy, as well as a promise that humanity will find true peace and prosperity through the power of 80's metal. Featuring an unknown Keanu Reeves before stardom, and an unknown Alex Winter before his slide into more time unknown, alcoholism and depression, and a soundtrack featuring Extreme's 'Play With Me", it's a must see.

After the huge success of the first, an inevitable sequel followed. In 1991 "Bill And Ted's Bogus Journey" was released to a so-so box office response, which is really strange because the second is much funnier than the first. "Bogus Journey" finds Bill and Ted trying to get their band exposure at a battle of the bands concert. Unfortunately, they are killed by evil robot duplicates sent from the future ba a super-villain named DeNomolos, who planse to alter history to be heavy metal free.

In the hereafter, Bill and Ted become ghosts, posess people, visit Heaven and Hell, and meet God and The Devil. The film also marks the acting debut of Station The Martian, who found later fame in "The Piano" with Anna Paquin.

The films ends with the promise of a golden tomorrow, where Bill and Ted's music will unite the galaxy, end the world's problems, and bring Bill and Ted fame and fortune. Hopefully once all that stuff starts happening (any minute now) we'll see some more Bill and Ted sequels!
