Welcome to my Star Trek site. Here is a brief look at the official Star Trek stuff:
![]() |
The original series (TOS) of Star Trek chronicles the
five-year mission of the starship Enterprise in the 23rd century. The five
year mission, however, lasted only three in the real world, airing from
1966 to 1969. This series, however, would eventually give rise to the biggest TV
franchise in history.
The adventures of the TOS crew was continued in a 22-episode animated series aired in the '70s and six feature films. |

The Crew
Boldly going where no man had gone before,
the crew of the original USS Enterprise was led by Captain James T. Kirk.
Always there to save the day were the Vulcan science officer Mr. Spock and
chief engineer Montgomery “Scotty?Scott. The chief medical officer, Dr. Leonard
“Bones?McCoy, was also always there for “advice? Through most of the
seasons, the rest of the crew include helm officer Lt. Hikaru Sulu,
navigator Pavel Chekov, communications officer Lt. Uhura and nurse
Christine Chapel. |

The Ship
The original USS Enterprise NCC-1701 was a
Constitution-class vessel, a simple but beautiful design. In The Motion
Picture, the ship was refitted (actually completely rebuilt!) and an identical
Enterprise-A was built after the destruction of the original ship in ST
III. |

Star Trek: The Next Generation (TNG) was set in the 24th century (2364-2370). The next generation of space explorers was the crew of the USS Enterprise-D. Their adventures lasted for seven full seasons and four feature films. |

The Crew
The experienced and wise Captain Jean-Luc Picard commanded the Enterprise-D, assisted by executive officer Commander William Riker. The android Lt. Commander Data was operations manager. Throughout most of the seasons, Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge was chief engineer, Dr. Beverly Crusher was chief medical officer, the Klingon Worf was tactical officer and half-Betazoid Deanna Troi was counselor. Other recurring characters were bartender Guinan and cadet Wesley Crusher. |

The Ship
The Galaxy-class USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D was larger, sleeker and more powerful. The massive ship, however, was lost in Star Trek: Generations. The three latest movies portray the even sleeker and state-of-the-art Enterprise-E, a Sovereign-class starship. |

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (DS9) was set in
the TNG era (2369-2375). Deep Space Nine is a space station located near
the Bajoran wormhole, a strategic location. Unfortunately, the story of
people on a space station became boring, and later the series brought Star
Trek to war. |
![]() |
The Crew
Commander (later Captain) Benjamin Sisko and
Bajoran Major (later Colonel) Kira Nerys command the station. Other
personnel include chief engineer Miles O'Brien, Dr. Julian Bashir, Trill
science officer Jadzia Dax and shape-shifter Odo. Commander Worf joined
the cast in Season 4. Civilian characters include Ferengi bar-owner Quark,
Cardassian tailor Garak, and Ben Sisko's son Jake. Jadzia was killed in
the Dominion War, but the symbiont Dax lives on in a new host, Ezri. |

The Ship
Initially, the series had no starship, just
the station and some runabouts. Later, the USS Defiant NX-74205 was
introduced. Intended to fight the Borg, this small ship was heavily armed,
as well as fitted with armor and a cloaking device. The ship was destroyed
in the Dominion war, but another Defiant-class starship was renamed
(and renumbered?) after her. |

Also set in the 24th century (2371-2377),
Star Trek: Voyager (VGR) chronicles the adventures of the crew of the starship
USS Voyager. Swept 70,000 light years from home to the Delta Quadrant,
they had to face many challenges and hostilities in order to return home. |

The Crew
After being transported to the Delta
Quadrant, the crews of the Voyager and a Marquis ship joined forces to
crew the Voyager. Female captain Kathryn Janeway was assisted by the
former Marquis commander Chakotay. Half-Klingon Lt. B'Elenna Torres (also
former Marquis) was chief engineer, while Vulcan Lt. Tuvok was
tactical/security chief. Young Ensign Harry Kim was the operations manager
while Lt. Tom Paris manned the helm. Left without a medical staff,
Voyager's crew had to rely on the holographic Emergency Medical Hologram.
Delta Quadrant natives Kes and Neelix helped the crew get home. At the end
of Season 3, however, Kes left the ship, but Voyager received a new
crewmember, the ex-Borg Seven of Nine. |

The Ship
The USS Voyager NCC-74656 was an
Intrepid-class vessel. The small ship was equipped with the latest
Starfleet technology such as bio-neural circuitry and variable-geometry
warp nacelles. |

Enterprise (ENT) is unique as it is set before TOS (2151 onwards), when humanity's first voyage to deep space occurs. The idea of a prequel is exciting and has great potential. Unfortunately, the writers and producers screwed-up by making too many continuity errors. |

The Crew
The first human starship crew was led by Captain Jonathan Archer. Vulcan Sub-Commander T'Pol was the science officer and advices the humans on their journey. Other crewmembers were chief engineer Charles “Trip?Tucker III, navigator Travis Mayweather, communications officer Hoshi Sato, armory officer Malcolm reed, and Dr. Phlox, a Denobulan. |

The Ship
Humanity's first starship was the Enterprise
NX-01 capable of Warp 5 (old scale). Ignoring the fact that it was a copy
of the Akira-class starship, it is an exciting and beautiful ship. |
