Fairness is a nebulous concept. By amassing our present failures, we should aim to avoid repeating mistakes made by past policymakers. Everyone should be creative about embedding fairness in the world around them. Maybe we'll get a shot at deleting injustice. So let's get our good ideas together now. Let's also identify bad byproducts for removal.

Impetus for change:
Inventory Tax
Governmental budgeting pratice:
has "use it or loose it" mentality.
We thus reward growth and waste, systematically.
Dual systems: civil and criminal.
O.J. Simpson was found both innocent and guilty of the same crime. Which is the lie?
Scrutiny translates to a modern lynching.
Vandals trashed Mike Maad's shop. Insurance fraud was ruled out.  But having locked horns with Mike, the prosecutor didn't like him and wouldn't let go. Federal bank fraud charges were used to jail Mike. He "looked" guilty. And so he was railroaded.
Policy-makers should honor the Hipocratic Oath: to do no harm.
Laws come out of frenzied histeria.
Cause and effect are unclear at tax time. This amounts to blank-check law-enforcement, at the behest of a few whiners.
Alaska's state constitution mandates the aim of reform for criminal offenders.
It would be hard to argue prisoners are in any way improved by the incarceration experience. They could be attending Stanford University for the price we pay to detain them.
Power and responsibility are disconnected.
Lawmakers don't personally assure the spirit of a law will be respected. Semantic juggling userps laws for unintended use.
Leadership by example is out. Hypocracy is in.
Police did not want the .08 blood alchohol DUI threshold. One of the first to be arrested under new law was a our D.A.
Newcomers illegalize traditional activities.
Time-tested tradition is discarded, often-times to be replaced by short-sighted rules to benefit modern-day robber-barrons.
Negotiated terms get revised unilaterally.
Trust is inappropriate given such an abysmal track record.
Lawyers advise us to not answer questions asked by law enforcement authorities.
Citizen duplicity preemptively exceeds offensive duplicity of law-enforcement. What's right vanishes in the process.
Death Penalty
Our actions betray our real belief structure: killing "is" helpful.
Ignorance of the law is no excuse.
Reading thousands of new laws each year should not be required. Time tested laws should embody common sense.
At 11:59 pm the muni passed an ordinance. At 7:00 am, police kicked in the doors to enforce it.
Hugely expensive, later ruled unconstitutional, untold costs got diverted from satisfying real needs, to create suffering.

Would you pay to rent your own asset? No way. Alas, the only way to rebel is to scuttle an asset. So go the vast resources of the world, to the dump, in an endless caravan.
