One small dream . . . As a child, I yearned to know the people of our neighborhood high-teck industry. Industry swamped us next. Buildings were knocked down to be rebuilt anew, over and over. Buildings got so big, my hopes were dashed. I'd have had better chances befriending archeological ruins. Now Anchorage looks like Palo Alto once did, when I was young. So my dreams are rekindled. But the high-teck sector is missing here. And sometimes I yearn for it. From an engineering standpoint, I know of benefits here that could put my hometown to shame.
