Update - 24th September 2007 BIg news - Phil and Asumi set the date for their wedding on 7th June 2008 in Japan. Yes, it's fixed now. They will marry in St.Paul's Catholic Church which I believe is near Asumi's family home in Takasaki in the Gunma region. In the meantime both Phil and Asumi have been transferred by JP Morgan Bank to their Singapore office. So Jim and Marie start again on their travels to see them on 25th Sept ( tomorrow ) During the summer we spent most of June in Southwest France chilling out, first with Christine and Edward and then later with George and Brenda. Then a trip to London in July to help Asumi to prepare their flat for letting and followed in August by a little touring holiday in Shropshire. Now we are looking forward to the Singapore trip which will also include 5 days on Bintan Island in nearby Indonesia where we wil stay at a plush beach resort and hopefully get some golf in. Marie has started again and has joined my club, Greenmount, and is enjoying it. She prays that her back hold up. Emma, Ray and Joe have had and are still having a torrid time with their house renovation. They moved in with us when we returned from France and stayed for quite a while. They are now back home but still living with workings. Ray's Dad Ernie has been transforming their garden from a jungle to a little oasis and it looks fab. Joe will be 2 years old on 21st Oct and so a party is planned. He is looking more beautiful each day and is now really funny as his speech develops. Beth did very well with her GCSE's and is now at 6th form college. Nathan is in 2nd year of seniors and still playing football but now managed by his Dad ! Paul is now working in Manhattan and is very happy with his job but very busy. he has just had his coaching book published entitled " Youth Soccer Player Handbook " and its ESBN no is 978-1-4257-8688-5. It will soon be available on Amazon, so don't forget to get a copy ! He is coming over on 29th Nov for Pete and Katy's wedding and will stay with us until 4th december. Marie's mum May has been very well for most of the past year but has very recently had a few problems. She will be 90 years old in April next year and so we will plan a little celebration Marie's brother Brian is 65 years old on 22nd Oct and he is having a party on 27th in Manchester. And City ? Well, now that we have money, things are looking up with us in 3rd place today. Trophie ? Maybe a cup of some sort. Jim is 60 years old at the end of this year and so a grand holiday is foreseen which may include Singapore again over the New Year and then some other tropical paradises and perhaps Oz to see Todge and Sandra. Warmth will be paramou |
