VOCAB QUIZZES are conducted on the days indicated. All vocab quizzes follow this format:
1) The instructor says the words aloud in class. (Words are said aloud more than once)
2) The student writes down the words which the instructor says in Spanish
3) The student writes down the English translation for the words the instructor says in Spanish.
4) If a word has two spelling errors within it, it is counted as incorrect.
5) The vocab quizzes are worth 5 pts. each, and only the 10 best scores will count
6) There are no make-ups for vocab quizzes.

Quiz #1 P. 128, all the words in the Los viajes y las vacaciones section.
Quiz #2 P. 128, all the words in the En el hotel section and the Adjetivos section.
Quiz #3 P. 128, all the words in the ¿Qué tiempo hace? section and the Palabras y expresiones adicionales

Quiz #4 P. 152, all the words in the La ropa section.
Quiz #5 P. 152, all the words in the Adjetivos section.

Quiz #8 P. 180, all the words in the Los verbos reflexivos section.
Quiz #9 P. 180, all the words in the En el baño section and the Adverbios y preposiciones de tiempo section.
Quiz #10 P. 180, all the words in the Verbs like gustar section and Otras palabras y expresiones section.
Quiz #11 P. 204, all the words in the Comidas section and the Bebidas section.
Quiz #12 P. 204, all the words lin the Verduras section, La carne y el pescado section and Las frutas section.
Quiz #13 p. 204, all the words in Otras comidas section and the Verbos section.
WORKBOOK/VIDEO MANUAL: You must complete the pages and activities outlind below in this manual. The order of completion is listed below along with the due date for each one. You may turn them in prior to the due date. Late work receives only 1/2 credit.
Chapter 5: (Due on or before February 4, 2004 for full credit)

LAB MANUAL ASSIGNMENTS: These are be completed in the language lab or if you have purchased the CD’s for this manual you may complete them outside of the lab. The order of completion is listed below along with the due date for each one. Be sure sign your name at the top and turn them into me at class on or before the due date. Late work receives only 1/2 credit.
Chapter 5: Lab Manual pp.25-30, due on or before February 4, 2004 for full credit.
Chapter 6: Lab Manual pp. 31-36, due on or before February 25, 2004 for full credit.
Chapter 7: Lab Manual pp. 37-42, due on or before March 29, 2004 for full credit.
Chapter 8: Lab Manual pp. 43-48, due on or before the Final Exam date for any credit.
ASSIGNMENTS are given in class. They are collected by the instructor at the end of the next class for credit. Assignments are worth 5 pts. each and there will be 10 of them total. Late assignments receive only 1/2 credit. If you ask me for a missed assignment on the day it is due you can only receive 1/2 credit for completing it.
ORAL EXAMS: Each student will sign up for a date on which they will take their oral exam.. Information re: this exam will be provided prior to the exam.
EXTRA CREDIT: Is open to all students via Señor K’s website, but it will not be available or accepted until after the first test.
