VOCAB QUIZZES are conducted on the days indicated. All vocab quizzes follow this format:
1) The instructor says the words aloud in class. (Words are said aloud more than once)
2) The student writes down the words which the instructor says in Spanish
3) The student writes down the English translation for the words the instructor says in Spanish.
4) If a word has two spelling errors within it, it is counted as incorrect.
5) The vocab quizzes are worth 5 pts. each, and only the 10 best scores will count
6) There are no make-ups for vocab quizzes.

Quiz #1 Pp. 367 and 368, the words below the animal pictures. There are 7 words on p. 367 and 6 words
on p. 368
Quiz #2 P. 368, the words numbered 1 through 10 on the left hand side and lower half of the page.
Quiz #3 P. 370, all the words listed to the right of the two pictures (1-7), and the 5 or 6 words below
the second picture.
Quiz #4 P. 378, All the words listed under the La Personalidad section.
Quiz #5 P. 384, all the words listed under the El Medio Ambiente section.
Quiz #6 P. 390, all the words listed under the picture, numbed 1-8 and the bold print words too.
Quiz #7 P. 398, all the words listed in the Lo esencial II section on the bottom half of the page.
Quiz #8 P. 407, all the words under the "En la óptica" section and the "Palabras y expresiones útiles" section.
Quiz #9 P. 411, the 6 words below the picture, and p. 412, the words below the "Otras palabras

CAT ASSIGNMENTS: These are all internet based assignments and are found at the website listed below. The order of completion is listed below along with the due date for each one. Do not submit them to me via the internet, but instead print off a copy, sign your name at the top and turn them into me at class on or before the due date. Late work receives only 1/2 credit.

ASSIGNMENTS are given for almost every class. They are collected by the instructor at the end of class for credit. Assignments are worth 5 pts. each and there will be 10 of them total. Late assignments receive only 1/2 credit. If you ask me for a missed assignment on the day it is due you can only receive 1/2 credit for completing it.
ORAL EXAMS: Each student will sign up for a date on which they will take their oral exam.. Information re: this exam will be provided prior to the exam.
