DIRECT OBJECT:  Is a noun or pronoun

Definition:  The direct object or the direct object pronoun receives the action of the verb.

Abbreviation for Direct Object Pronoun:  DOP

Direct Object Pronouns:

Me - me
Te - you (familiar)
Lo - him, you (formal), it
La - her, you (formal), it
Nos - us
Los - them, you (all)
Las - them, you (all)

Purpose of a direct object pronoun:  To replace direct a direct object noun

Placement of direct object pronouns:

1. Directly before a conjugated verb
2. After and attached to an infinitive
3. After and attached to a present participle


INDIRECT OBJECT:  Is a noun or pronoun

Definition:  The indirect object or the indirect object pronoun receives the direct object.

Abbreviation for Indirect Object Pronoun:  IOP

Indirect Object Pronouns:
