My Metaphor

By Jeff King

I would describe my writing as much like a tadpole.  In the beginning of the year my writing really need to be polished and edited.  I was going from one topic to the next and had no form in my writing.  Much like a tadpole when it swims through the water.  I has no path that it follows it just swims back and forth as fast as possible.  When I started writing my vocabulary story I wasn't sure where i was headed.  By the time i was gettting down to the last five chapter i knew the direction I was headed with the story and understood exactly how I was going to end the story.  I had past the tadpole stage and become a frog.

When I sat down to first write the story I knew I wanted it to be suspensful and creative but I didn't know how i was going to approach it.  The first few chapters didn't come out as well as I thought they would and things were scatered and the plot wasn't really developing.  I knew at the last chapter where the story was going but it was to late.

If I had to rewrite the story again I think I would plan each chapter out so that my ideas were no scatered throughout the story.  A tadpole will scurry around the water and finally turn into a from and comes to life.  If has more structure and is quick to do things.  My vocab story quickly came to life in the last few chapters because I knew the direction I was going with it.
