| We stand in the spot once occupied by the Old Barn. There's No Trace of it. now. Only the ruins of the Ol' Crib remains. This is a Special Place for me, rich in Memories. When the Jefferson family would gather here for Holidays, Eddie and I would go up in the hayloft to hide out. The Little Kids, always found us. Eddie would lift each of them up to the opening in the loft floor, then I would take their little hands and lift them up, into the loft. Moms and Aunts would come out to look for them. We could watch them look around the outside of the house, from our perch in the loft. The many nail holes made it easy to SPY on the house. It was a Perfect Hiding Place. The kids thought it was So Funny, they would roll in the hay with laughter and hold their tummys. "What FUN!!!!" |

| "THE Old Oak Tree" Guess you could call it the "Jefferson FAMILY Tree" As you can see, there are actually two trees. The one on the left is "The Ol' Tree". It's the larger of the two. Notice the ferns growing on the brances. This Old Tree stood at the end of the driveway, and just sout of the barn. It once held a Tow - Sack Swing, all the kids played on. I haven't seen Oaks this BIG in a Long Time. It's as Wonderful as Ever. The grounds around the old tree have gone back to their natural state. Ferns grow in the moist soil and even cover the limbs of the Ol' Tree. "BEAUTIFUL"!!! When someone mentioned seeing the old tree, we all knew Exactly which tree they ment. We All hold it Dearly, within us. God has Richly Blessed me, to ba a part of this Wonderful, Loving Family and this Beautiful Place. I'm Eternally Greatful for His Many Blessings. |
