ALL RECENT UPDATES ARE HIGHLIGHTED IN BLUE
Weekly Starters: Every week each coach will be responsible for turning in a starters list of whom they want to start from their roster for that week's game. Weekly starters are:
1 Quarterback 1 Running back 3 Receivers* 1 Kicker 1 Defense\Special Teams 1 Utility Player**
*Receiver positions may be any combination of wide receivers or tight ends. Tight ends do not have to be started or drafted. **The utility player can only be a running back, wide receiver or tight end.
Bench Player: A coach may designate ONE bench player any given week for occasions where the playing status of a starter is uncertain. However, the bench players stats will only be substituted in the case where the designated starter DOES NOT PLAY. A bench player, and the player they are designated for, must be submitted at the same time. Example: Started player plays Sunday, and the bench player plays Thursday. You would have to submit both players by the "early games" starter deadline (see "Early Games" Below).
Defensive Teams cannot have a bench player selected. If the bench player is a RB, WR or TE, you must designate which starting player he is backing up. If you dont designate which starter the bench player is backing up OR if there is ANY room for confusion, the ORIGINAL starting players stats will be used.
A bench players stats will only be substituted if there is evidence that the designated starter DNPd. Note: a backup QB only in for holding duties counts as playing (refer to NFL.coms Game Books. The list of names under the Inactive or Did not Play sections count as DNPd. All names listed under starting lineups and substitutions played in at least one play).
Bench players may only be submitted for a player in the same position. QB for QB, RB for RB ect. This will hold true if a bench player is designated for a Utility player. For example, .if a RB was started at the utility position, than only a RB can be placed on the bench for this player.
Starters List Submission Deadline: Starters lists must be turned in by 10 PM Saturday of each week. Any player designated as a starter after this deadline will have disqualified stats. If no starters list is submitted in a given week, then the same starters from the previous week will be the present starters (default starters). In the event of a coach not turning in a starters list for week one, since there will be no default starters list to use, the first player drafted at each position will be started, regardless of playing condition. The utility player will be that coach's second tight end drafted. If only one tight end was drafted, than no player will be started in the utility position.
Early Games: In the event that a game is played prior to the starters deadline the following will happen. Coaches will have to notify the Commissioner by 12 Midnight the day before game day, stating that they intend to start ANY player on their roster that is playing in these games. If a coach does not contact the Commissioner, then any player on that coach's roster that plays in any of these games CANNOT be started that week. If a player that played in an early game is submitted on a starters list after the early game starters deadline has past, that player will have their stats disqualified for that week. Default Starters are considered turned in at 10 PM Saturday, therefore any player on a default starters list that plays in an early game will AUTOMATICALLY have their stats disqualified. |
