ALL RECENT UPDATEs ARE HIGHLIGHTED IN BLUE
Playoff Setup: The playoffs will be run like they are in the NFL. In the first round, the highest seeded team plays the lowest seeded team and the second highest plays the second lowest, ECT. Seed 1 vs. seed 8, seed 2 vs. seed 7, seed 3 vs. seed 6 and seed 4 vs. seed 5.
Then in the second round, the highest surviving seeded team will play the lowest surviving seeded team and the second highest vs. the second lowest. Example: If seeds 2,3,5 and 8 won in round one, then round two would be: seed 2 vs. seed 8 seed 3 vs. seed 5.
Playoff Seeds: Determining the playoff seeds will be as follows: The team with the best record has the highest ranked seed. The second best record will receive the second best seed and so on until all eight seeds have been awarded. In the event of a tie, these are the tiebreakers that will be used:
1. head-to-head results, which is who has the best record between the two coaches in games played against each other. 2. point differential for the entire season. 3. If the tie is still not broken, then it will have to come down to a traditional flip of the coin 4. In the event of a three-way (or more) tie that prevents head-to-head results from determining a best record, the point differential and tradition flip of coin tie breakers will be the only two tiebreakers used. |
