Franchise Players: Coaches will have the right to designate a franchise player. This player must be on that coach's roster. If a franchise player is selected, that coach will have to give up their otherwise entitled first round pick and pay a $15 fee. Franchise player selections will take place right before the draft by super secret ballot. :)
Late Round Holdovers: Coaches will have the right to select up to three (3) late round holdovers, which must be on that coach's roster and must not have been drafted in rounds 1 thru 9 the previous year. If a coach selects late round holdovers, each of the players would cost $5 and would represent that coach's pick for the tenth thru the twelfth rounds in the draft. The number of rounds will depend on how many players are selected. If only one player is selected, then only the tenth round pick will be used for late round holdovers. All fees collected from these selections will be thrown into the pot. Late round holdover selections will need to be turned in one week prior to the draft. Once the draft is set (see Draft Details), a reminder email will be sent out with the deadline for late round holdover selections.
New Coach Late Round Supplemental Draft: All the late round eligible players that are not retained will be placed into a pool of available players for new coaches only. Before the draft starts, new coaches may select up to three of these players. Any players taken would count as those coache's 10th-12th round pick(s). The selected players would not require a $5 retention fee. All new coaches would select players in the order that they will pick during the draft. After all the coaches have finished selecting players, all remaining players will then go into the pool of available players for the draft.
New Coaches and Late Round Holdover\Franchise Players: New coaches have the ability to trade for players prior to the draft. If a new coach trades for players, these players would be able to be kept as a Franchise Players or as a late round holdovers. All Franchise Player and late round holdover guidelines will be followed. See "Franchise Players" and "Late Round Holdovers" above.
