We have 2 new student joining our class in 2006 and we are excited to welcome them to the MacLachlan community.
*Science Fair: most students have chosen their science fair topics by nowand should be starting on the proposal that is due January 20th.
-the final project will be Due on April 3rd; including an experimental write-up, poster board, and presentation
*New Science Unit: Thermal Energy and Heat Technology
-we are starting a new science unit on January 10th, so students should be keeping on top of the daily work
-the final project for Heat will be due after the Winter break in February, but students should be thinking about this early on
*New Math Unit: Accentuating the Negative
-the unit will explore adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
integers (positive and negative numbers)
-the question bank will be received on January 9th and will be due on
February 6th; the final test will be on February 9th
A trip has been planned to the Ontario Science Centre for March 9th
