| This pair of lists summarizes an author's thinking about what makes a person attractive ("positive") or repulsive ("negative") to other people. I was fascinated with this pair of lists when I first read it. I promptly photocopied the page it was on, and laminated it, and put it in my wallet. I carry it around with me in my wallet, at all times. I keep it in the pocket of my wallet where I store paper money, where it will be visible whenever I open my wallet and open that pocket that contains paper money. I want the list to be there so that I will repeatedly remind me of what is truly valuable to possess: traits of good character. Around half of the items of the two lists seem to me to be traits of character. |
