| Seat damage |

| This photo shows what the driver's seat of my 1988 Honda Civic wagon now looks like. Two weeks ago one of my two dogs "dug" into the seat, causing the damage that is clearly visible in the photo. I had accidentally left my dogs in the car with the windows closed, under a hot sun, for about 25 minutes (I got distracted by an important telephone call). When I returned to the car I found the damage. The dog apparently had been driven a bit crazy by the heat. I plan to try to fix the damage by sewing the fabric shown at the top of the photo, over the damage, after re-attaching pieces of foam with glue and duct tape. I found repair needles suitable for this kind of repair at a Wal-Mart near my residence. The pack of needles shown has two curved ones that I expect will work fine for this job. My keychain is shown to the right of the pack of needles. Fishing line I plan to use is shown to the left of the needles. |
