     (2) Statements recognizing and listing your audience's legitimate interest in or concerns about this issue and reassurance that you've given thought to those concerns.
     (3) Explanation of the major reasons for your judgment and supporting evidence.
     (4) Emphasis on ameliorative matters such as what your positions have in common and your hopes for continued communication and heightened agreement in the future.
