What is Punk? What isn't? People's opinion differ on this subject because off all the different types of punk music that is out there. There are different types of punk and this can been good or bad.

First is the Hardcore Punks which a lot of people don't seem to like. It's fast and loud. There's screaming, yelling, and if your at a show you'll be sure to find a mosh pit!

Second is what I call the annoying punk- Blink 182 ect. You know the kids that listen to it when you see them, or rather hear them. There always yelling something stupid and most people just wish they would shut up, but their friends think there cool... so I guess it must be.

Third is the tame punk or pop punk. Bands like Green Day and Good Charlotte fall into this catagory. Many Hardcore Punks would be reluctant to admit if they were listening to it.. but some of them do.

Fourth is the Old School Punk. The kids that are into the Ramones, Sex Pistol, Sub Humans and other bands that have been around for a while and are probably not together anymore. These are the bands that started the movement and made Punk music avalible today. The ones that beleived fully in Anarchy.

Last is my fav... well not really. These are the poser punks. The Avril Lavinges and such. The kids that do it becaue it's fashionable and don't have any idea what there doing or supporting. These are usually (to my experience) girls who think the boy are cute or want to be excepted by someone that likes punk.
