Windsor Castle
We toured Windsor Castle on a blustery day in December.  Although we couldn't take pictures inside, the outside is very photogenic!  The star attractions for the girls were the dollhouse with running water, the throne room, and all those amazing ceilings!  Julia was the star of the tour, as she was a fascinating specimen of blond hair for a group of Chinese tourists!
The rain didn't stop us!  We toured the extensive grounds of the castle, which are still green, even in December!
The outside of the castle is impressive and it is amazing how many hundreds of years it has been in use!  Here the girls stand with balloons courtesy of Krispy Kreme!  You can't escape them, even here.
We got to watch the changing of the guard.  There is a marching band that processes up the streets of Windsor to the castle, creating traffic jams and a bit of fanfare!
The castle is quite stunning, but the inside is awe-inspiring.  Alex and I attended Evensong is St. George's Chapel, where Henry VIII and Jane Seymour are buried.  The chapel is beautiful and the choir is amazing.
