FADE IN:

EXT. OUTER SPACE - DAY

The stars shine against the blackness above the earth.  Surrounding the orb, satellites spin about like a metallic halo.

All except one.  It floats independent of the rest of the technological clutter.  It speeds closer, and reveals that this is no simple platform. This is a space station - the size of San Francisco.   A city in space.  NEW EDEN.

Across its surface, a seeming infinite number of lights and windows peer into the night.  One such portal shows the sprawl of suburbia within.

EXT. SUBURBS, NEW EDEN - DAY

A puck flies across the asphalt.  It flies past the crouched GOALIE and into the net.  Cheers and curses raise through the air as the young PLAYERS adjust their gear and move back into starting position. With a yell, the puck is again in play.

They ignore a beater van that rolls down the street, although it hovers a foot above the ground - like every other vehicle in New Eden. It pulls up short, near the front of a two-story house. The sliding door opens and

Two MEN in work overalls step out.  They scan the area.  Nothing.

They jog up to the house and pull out sleek shaped sawed off shotguns from their loose clothing.  They tug at the back of each others clothing, which reveals designation "Cybercrime Enforcement Agency".  These are government officers.

BEN DAVIS, mid-twenties, encased in a shell of relaxed cool that is most often mistaken for apathy, halts at the doorstep.
BEN
If you want second seat, it's yours.
KENTAL COURVA, late-twenties, stubborn as a bloodied pitbull, blows away the lock on the front door.
KENTAL
Now's not the time for this, Ben.
Ben kicks in the off kilter door and sweeps the room.
BEN
Right.  Let's go.
INT. HALLWAY, HOUSE, NEW EDEN - DAY

Kental signals Ben to enter the nearby bedroom.  Door's locked.  He shoulder-smashes the door open.

A computer workroom.  Motherlode.

A MALE HACKER, with gun in fist, blasts off half a dozen shots. They all miss as

Ben dodges and knocks the gun away. He pounds the Hacker on the side of the head and cuffs him with deft efficiency.  Ben pushes him towards Kental and touches his earpiece.

Ben touches his earpiece.
BEN
Got the merchandise.  Get a tech in here for analysis.  Hallway, third room.

Kental jerks his head back down the hall.
KENTAL
Cornered them in the main room.  Come on.
INT. LIVING ROOM, HOUSE, NEW EDEN - DAY

A scuffle has turned this once cozy spot into a battlefield.  Lamps and chairs are tossed about and glass crunches underfoot.

Four sharp-eyed CYBERCRIME AGENTS, stand over three captives: two MALE HACKERS, and SIRENNA COURVA, early twenties, hacker supreme, nitroglycerine during an earthquake.
SIRENNA
You arse-lickers've destroyed everything.
Kental and Ben march into the room and drop their prisoner next to her. She, but is thrown to the floor by an Agent
SIRENNA
You have to let me go.  I have data that proves...
BEN
We will do nothing.  You're going Outside.
SIRENNA
You're not serious.
KENTAL
I can't help.  It's gone too far for a deal.
Kental eyes the Agents.
Sirenna and the two Male Hackers are dragged to their feet.
KENTAL
Take them out.  The truck's here.
SIRENNA
I'll never forgive you for this.
Sirenna spits on Kental's face as she's pulled out of the room.

Kental stands stone-faced until the room is empty save for Ben.  He trembles and breaks down.  He pounds the wall again and again.

Ben awkwardly comforts his friend.
BEN
No one should have to arrest their own sister.  I'm so sorry.
