| Tracks from the opossum are very easy to recognize if you know what you're looking for. The front foot (above) looks roughly like a human hand and can be distinguished from the raccoon paw because the opossum track will be more round. The rear foot (below) leaves a track with a thumb that sticks out at close to a 90 degree angle. The opossum is the only animal with a track like this. |
