| This beaver pond is a very good place for looking for wildlife. Just downstream from where this picture was taken is a swamp where we've seen several kinds of snakes and small mammals. I've also seen a lot of birds here that I haven't seen (or rarely see) anywhere else. Two of these are the glossy ibis (which I had never seen until I took the picture below - the quality is bad because it was almost dark outside) and the american goldfinch. |
