Leaellynasaura

Leaellynasaura,
A small, elegant biped that lived in clans
on the forest floor, distinguished by the
big eyes and enlarged optic lobes that
enabled it to see in the dark. This
creature was well suited to being  a
permanent resident of the polar forests.

Evidence,
Mainly one skull found in the Otway
Range (Dinosaur Cove), south of
Melbourne, Australia.

Size,
Adults were about 7 feet (2 meters)
long and stood 20 inches (50 centimeters)
tall at the hip. Their heads were about
7 inches (17 centimeters) long and they
could browse  up to 4 feet (1.3 meters)
off the ground. They weighed about
22 pounds (10 kilograms).

Herbivore

Between 112 and 104 million years ago,
Late Cretaceous
