Ginko,
The surviving species of the Ginko family, Ginko biloba, is very adaptable and has been transplanted all over the world. Ginko, aslo known as the Maidenhair tree is considered the oldest living species of tree. The family Ginkoaceae once consisted of 18 members and earliest fossils date back 270 million years (Permian). The Ginko has been known to have medicinal values.
