Medium-sized plesiosaur with a slightly flattened skull and upward-facing eyes. Its long, slender teeth may have been used for piercing squid, but could also have helped sift burrowing animals out of the mud.

Several complete skeletons, including juveniles.
Most have been found in England and northern France, but there are also reports of finds in Russia and South America.

Maximum length of 26 feet (8 meters) with a
2 foot (60 centimeter) skull. Possibly weighed as much as 8 tons.
