Logo Design
Creating logos is a chance to iconify something or someone. Could be a company or a music group. Everyone remembers the Rolling Stones logo. No one needs to be told what it means or represents. A good logo aims to create an icon that can be immediately associated with, well, whatever the logo is for.
Mind Mappers is a fictional company, I had created this logo at college. The aim was to go through the entire process, creatively, to create a logo. What I have posted is a style sheet for Mind Mappers, showing the colours, fonts, and elements for the logo. This would be similair to what a client would expect in commissioning a logo from a Graphic Artist.
CompuBlox Inc., a sister company of biometric developer Acsys Biometrics was my last job in Toronto, I had created the companies logo as well as being thier web designer and applications graphic artist. The company was a developer company, creating biometric software applications. The team was made up of young, international, talent. The president of the company wanted to present a youthful, sporty look to the logo. This is why it is not so different from a sports team logo.
