LEXX, Tales From The Dark Zone, is a series of movies created in the city of Halifax by Salter Street Films in partnership with a German film company. I was hired by award winning director Alex Busby to be one of four storyboard artists for LEXX. The experience was a lot of work, but I got to collaborate with great people working at the height of their creative powers.
j.Lawless: When Alex Busby first hired me to work on LEXX, I had no idea they were making not just a Sci-Fi movie, but four of them! And right in Halifax (Some scenes were filmed in Germany but the majority of the movie series was filmed in Canada). The entire production was impressive to say the least.

I was having a blast! :)

One very impressive part of the production was the work of Bob Munroe and the lads from c.o.r.e. Digital Pictures. Along with their German counterparts, they created many of the CGI (Computer Generated Image) shots for LEXX.

LEXX is now a series and going strong! Each show is definitely an alternative to regular TV. Here are a few links to other LEXX sites.
