Friday the 13th!!!
I've never really had bad luck on Fridays the Thirteenths. anyway, i was just working on this page, when my computer just lost power. I was like, wtf^^ mate, but then i realized that subconsciously my toe hit the power strip. wicked smart of me.
Tomorrow is valentine's day. So I got to help give out the flowers that people had bought for each other. And, being the typical loser that I am, I didn't get any, but I didn't give anyone any (loser!) so yeah... whatev. (double loser!) wait, did you just call me a double loser?
I got my matchmaker results back, there's some kind of supercomputer that matches people up after they fill out a little survey. In my grade, i got Lauren Darrah first (?) and then Thea and Sada. But what's Sketchy with a capital S which rhymes with chess which has nothing to do with pool, is that for the whole-school matchup, I got all 8th and 9th grade girls. At the lowest, they tied with Thea for second place overall, and most of them were way above.
btw, I redesigned this page with layout in tables, not CSS, if that means anything to you. It shouldn't have overlap problems. And I'm working on making the viewing experience even better!!!! you can start partying now.
I've learned an important life lesson. If you ever feel like a complete loser, social outcast, whatever, or even just a tad depressed, there's one definite way to cheer up. Listen to Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd. uhhuhhh!!!!! the only comparable experience I've had is when I had laughing gas, but that's another story. I realize skynryd may not be everyone's favorite thing. just put aside your differences, forget who's playing, and just listen. so good.
I'm going to bed. have yourself some fun.

Not too much to say today. I went to the debate scrimmage today after school, but no other schools brought public forum debaters, so jake and i just debated the other kids. swanzey, lars, marissa , ross. yeah. The topic is filesharing. but i think i already wrote that below. Anyway, it's weird to debate that. and Jake is surprisingly bad at writing cases for how good a debater he is. But i like public forum because you get to yell at people in crossfire.
I almost hit a car in the parking lot at crosby's today. which led to some (cough) exaggeration by jake. You know, and he's probably reading this, sometimes it pisses me off how kids without cars/licenses mooch the hell out of me. ok, i only have half a car, but i was driving chris's half too.
Hey vacayshun is pretty soon. I'm going to have a blast! yippee! guess what. I'm going to look at colleges in Maine, New Hampshah, and Vermont, and then going back to see melissa's thesis at Amherst, which will be pretty cool. It's called "The Frauds: a meta-operetta" or at least that was the title last I talked to her. If you've ever seen a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, which make fun of opera, she's making fun of those.
Hey, so that whole gay marriage thing is getting some news. and before anyone jumps to conclusions, i'm not gay. but I think they deserve to be able to get married. If you ask me, it's just the plumbing problem that scares most people. and now i'm scaring myself. ewwwwwww....
i need to get a saxophone mic before our grande gig. and maybe I'll learn the harmonica. Yeah, I'll do that tomorrow in all my free time. great plan. adieu, mon amis...

I'm finding it kind of hard to believe, on reading that last post, that I didn't mention the, shall we say, splendid bowl. And splendid it was, this year. The pats... well, I really shouldn't have to tell anyone what happened, in the game or the halftime show. But just in case no one knew, Janet Jackson had a CD coming out two days after the halftime extravaganza/hullabaloo/shenanigans. Go figure.
So, for this month's debate topic (you know, I should probably be writing a case for that right now...), we're doing filesharing. I don't know if anyone else got as pissed off as I did after that guy at the Grammys gave us his load of crap. And that ad, well... I was just annoyed that he's up there saying, "Hi! I love you guys because when you buy a CD, my executive friends and I get about half of that money. About a quarter goes to the store, and the band/artist is lucky to get the rest. So don't steal music! I need another private jet!"
OK, so maybe he didn't say that. But you get the gist of the idea. Maybe you even share in my pissed-off-ness. Speaking of Grammys, and I know they can't please everyone, but was this year exceptional in suckage? I mean, the performances were pretty good. Or some of them. But jesûs. Thank God/Bob that Justin Timberlake didn't win.
On an entirely unrelated note, I had my sax lesson with Nat. See below if you don't know what i'm talking about. He's a little scary but wicked good at the saxophone. When I decided to give up Intel science and take sax from him, I realized that I always was smiling when I stopped playing the saxophone. I think I may have just solved this conundrum. It takes a lot of jaw muscle to play the sax for a while. And after, my face just smiles. So I may not actually like playing the saxophone. Oh well. I'll keep playin'.
I'm just about out of, well, thoughts. So enough. Bye.

Hmmm... we seem to be having some technical difficulties. Stay on the line, I'll fix them.
I am feeling unusually powerful at the end of this week. I quit that authentic science research class, a.k.a. Intel. I guess it wasn't retarded per se. But I'm amazed I managed to convince a los padres that I could quit. Now I'm in creative writing - so that's why I'm being so creative all of the sudden. Right.
And I got a new sax teacher, I haven't met him yet, but his name is Nat Simpkins, and he's wicked good.
Oh and midterms went pretty good. But of course you don't care about me. You're here because you care about yourself - and you want to think you have me as a friend, right? JKJK, luv ya all.
I'm scaring myself now. Oh well. I don't know if I've ever linked to the halfbakery before, but even if I have, it's worth another visit. And the Snoop Dogg Shizzolator. Apparently I'm the only person who hasn't seen that before though. While you're at it, download some nasty Gabe Dixon Band stuff. That is nice funk/jazz/I don't know how to classify it. And get a Beastie Boys Intergalactic Remix with INXS, AC/DC, and Herbie Hancock. Nice stuff.
I should finish up. A lot of stuff to do tomorrow. I'm finally starting my (drumroll, please) eagle scout project. And I need my sleep. I should really try to control my crazy partying. I mean, it's a friday night and I ... uhhh... was at home, writing this and playing computer games, and then talking with my parents. Really though, I am a cool guy. At least I think I'm a cool guy. (if you're confused, search for "looking at a thing in a bag" at homestarrunner.com). Meh.
I heard this crosby, stills, nash (and young, maybe?) song called "almost cut my hair." There's a feeling you have when you have long hair. It almost seems like the last year (wow, year?) was a waste of time if I go and cut my hair now. So google that song too.
.... and i'm spent.
