Helen and Her Walker at Grandpa Bucks' Christmas 2000
Gettin' Around Helen has been doing wonderfully! She has been getting around and doing all the things little girls love to do. She will soon be getting a rear facing walker, which will help her trunk muscles develop, and also will help her learn to stand up without putting all her weight on her walker. She loves to chase Daddy around and try to run his feet over. Helens' Classroom at Green Run Elementary School Halloween 2001 School Dayz Helen goes to school for 3 hours a day, 5 days a week. Her favorite time of the day is when she gets on her big, yellow school bus. She does very well in class. She is very friendly and is the highlight of her classroom. 2001 FS4SB Reunion at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee
Every year, Vanderbilt University holds the Fetal Surgery for Spina Bifida Family Reunion. It is an opportunity for all the families involved to meet, share stories, and get to know one another. The doctors have an opportunity to examine all of the children who were operated on while in-utero. Each child gets a physical examination, and is also checked for motor skills as well as mental development. The doctors then use all of the information to determine the benefits of surgery to repair the childs lesion while still in utero.

Our Little Princess Having Fun! Christmas 2000 Miss Congeniality Wanna Shoe? Christmas 2000 in Washington Christmas 2000 will be forever in our hearts. It was the first time that little Helen had ever been able to meet Steve's side of the family in Washington State. But it would be the only time that Helen would ever meet her Great Grandpa Henry Dyck from British Columbia, Canada. Just 5 months later, Grandpa Henry went to be with Our Lord and Savior after living such a wonderful life, here on Earth. The moment Grandpa held Helen and Patti together was one of the most appreciated times in my life. I will always remember that day, the smiles, and the love that was shared by one of the most sincere men that I have ever known. Auf Wiedersein Grandpa Great Grandparents Grandpa and Grandma Dyck with Helen and Patti 2 Helen's and a Patti Helen was finally able to meet the Great Grandmother whom she was named after. Grandma Helen Adams from Burlington, Washington. Grandma said she was "just tickled" to see little Helen for the first time. It was a wonderful moment when Grandma was able to hold the two of them together. Grandparents Grandma Maggie with Patti and Helen Helen was able to meet the Grandmother of whom her middle name came from. Grandma Margaret Rose Vail of Lyman, Washington. As usual, Steve's Mom was very emotional when it came to seeing her Grandchildren. She had all sorts of songs to sing, and stories to tell. (Some about Steve when he was younger). They could not get enough of Grandma Maggie.
