Nathan is one of the strongest people I know and look how little the guy is. Not only that but he is also a thief, that's my hat he stole lol. But I still love him, impossible not to. He is my nephew/godson and is a blessing to have in my life. He is now 4 years old and still hanging in there. |

Christina- your support has been absolutly outstanding. You have been so amazing to me. You are not only kind but u are beautiful as well. You deserve the greatest and don't forget it. I just wish you could always remember that and know that there is no guy that is above u not one. You just need to trust your heart and use your head hun. Know your cared about and will have a life long friend
Renea-You were there when this all started and still continue to be there for me about this and anything else I need help with. No matter what is going on in my life I can always count on you to make me smile. You are a truly great friend and I'm blessed to have you in my life. I am a 21 year old male from Il. I love to play pool, basketball, baseball, football and just about every other sport. In addition to those things, I love chilling with my friends, helping them out when they need and/or want it. Currenly, I am majoring in Psychology at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. Overall, I'm a nice, honest funny guy who loves to meet new people. |

Nathan's story |

My friends have been great to me helping me through this tough time with everything going on with Nathan. Nathan is not only my nephew but he is also my godson. I am so proud to be his godfather. He is the greatest kid there is, and that sucks because he deserves so much more than what he is getting. The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) investigated the suspected abuse. They "Indicated" (their term for guilty) Nathan's father in the abuse. However, he still recieves visitation every other weekend. Nathan usually comes home sick, tired, or with bruises. Sometimes, he even comes home with all three. The state won't do anything because they are afraid of Mark's (Nathan's father's) dad. He has a lot of money, and my family thinks he is schizophrenic. He must have control of everything, feels people are after him and his family and therefore, isolates him and his family from everyone else. They won't talk to neighbors, go outside unless absolutly needed, and they treat my nephew as a trophy. It takes a few days all the way to a week for Nathan to recover from his weekend visitation. However, after he recovers he has a smile on your face that always brightens your day. The worst part was on Friday September 3, 2004, my parents and I took my nephew to the police station (neutral ground) to drop him off for visitation. Most of the ride my nephew sat next to me in his booster seat hanging his head and with a dip lip. I asked him what was wrong and he replied, "I'm sad". The last 5 minutes of the ride I actually succeeded in getting him to laugh by tickling him. Then we were there and he walked over to Mark with his head down. |

Freak-Your cool man and Ii love ya, we been best buds since fourth man and still goin strong. You've been really supportive and just great with my nephew thanks man.
Mallory- how you doin mr director, dude you are going to make it and there is no doubt. Just don't listen when you get shot down because someone will realize your amazing talent. Hey can we get some copies of Matrix 2? I know some people who want some, 2 to be exact. YEA film fest! Have fun some fun at USC! Just don't forget your IRISH roots! lol.

Melissa-your as sweet as can be stay that way hehe. Have fun in your new hummer. I want it lol. Seriously though, thanks for helping me through one of the roughest times in my life. I couldn't have gotten through everything if it wasn't for you. I miss talking to ya though and hope we start talkin more! |
