| Trailer Hitch Removal |
| The guy that owned the jeep before me did a very sloppy job of stick welding a trailer hitch to the cross member of the jeep. The hitch consisted of angle iron, washers, and scrap steel welded together.Ofcourse this is had to go. |

| No matter what you're doing, safety is always number one. Always use gloves, hearing and eye protection. Also keep oily rags, mineral spirits, oil or fuel away from any area where hot work is going to be performed. Oily rags have a mysterious way of spontaneously combusting.(The red gas can in the back was removed from the area before work began.) |

| After the bulk of the material was cut off with an acetylene torch, I was left with most of the stick welds on the frame. I used an angle grinder to grind down the excess solder. |

| After all grinding was comlete, I cleaned the area of excess surface rust with the grinder, sprayed the rest with ospho rust converter, primed and painted the area for rust protection. |
