The Stealth's Running Gear
Engine
I stayed with the AMC 258 I'm a fan of the I-6. Not much was done to the engine. I took the computer out because it was causing me problems and put in a GM HEI distributor for a bit more noticeable power. The old carter carb was rebuilt and put back on and the engine was cleaned and given paint and a tune up, plans are in store for a fuel injected 4.6L stroker but til then we?l keep running old faithful! Plans are in ming for a MotorCraft 2100 Carb.

Transmission & Transfer Case
The transmission is a T-18 (4.02:1) out of a J-20 Jeep truck (I'm always looking for a Granny Low) I took the tranny a part and rebuilt it and it works quite well. A Dana 20 transfer case also out of a J-series truck is bolted to the back of the tranny. I just took it apart and inspected it and put it back together.

Axles

The front axle is the stock Dana30 with a heavy-duty diff cover on it. A Scout Dana44 rear is in the back. It has been welded up and works great. All new brakes and brake lines were put around. Plans are in the making for a Scout Dana44 up front with a selectable locker of some sort.
