This is my 88 Jeep Cherokee Lerado Sitting on 12.5"x38". I bought it from a dealer whos mechanic thought the torque converter was no good in it. So I got it for less than $800.00 then took it home and fixed the broken ground wire which was the actual problem. I havent had a problem with it since. We started to play on it and it climbed hills with ease. but to get the bigger steeper hills we needed more ground clearance. So thats when I started to look for a lift kit. The problem was I would have been spending alot of money on a little lift at the prices for the kits. So I started to look into crossing parts over. I had a friend who sold me some 4inch lift coil springs from a 1980 ford f 150. They were the same in diameter so thay fit the top fine and the new dana 44 axle from the 1979 ford f 150 spring perches were the same in diameter everything went right together .I like the look of the long arm ladder bar suspension system and the cost for that was outragously high. But they were what I needed to go higher so I decided to make my own. I've also made my own custom stainless steal bumper in the front. I plan to get more pictures posted soon.My plans are 18.44 superswampers and 6 more inches in lift. Thanks for looking
