Conclusion
There are many land use and zoning conflicts that are within the study areas and as there may be no real solution to this current problem, there are many different suggestions that can be made. First, buying and moving could be done but would be very costly for the city of Jackson and many times the owner would not be willing to sell. Second, rezoning to match certain area with there current land uses. This would defeat the purpose of the rezoning act of 1976. Third and probably the most sensible, would be to pass an act that when the property changed hands that it must automatically conform to the current zoning regulations. To solve this problem it must be treated like one would treat eating an elephant; one piece at a time.
